Our Intensive Italian language courses in Bologna (Italy) involve six hours of Italian lessons a day (NOT 6 lessons of 50 or 55 minutes like some other Bologna schools!) giving a total of 30 hours a week for 1/2/3/4 (or more) weeks, as required. The minimum number of students in a group is normally 4, and the maximum is 10.
Italian classes are held in the mornings, normally from 09:30 to 13:30 and there is an afternoon class for two hours each day, plus 10 hours a week of homework, plus the FREE social programme
Afternoon lessons for intensive course students include extra grammar/vocabulary,extra speaking/listening, supervised use of educational software and multimedia resources.
In addition, there is a teacher available for two hours each afternoon to help you with your homework if you choose to do it in the school (the supervised homework period is from 14:00 to 16:00 each afternoon). The school remains open until 21:00 most evenings, so you have full use of the facilities (computers, WIFI hotspot, DVDs, study area, etc) for over 12 hours a day.
Classes will involve learning Italian grammar and vocabulary, speaking and listening as much as possible, as well as some reading and writing. Our aim is to develop your ability to understand and communicate in Italian, not just to teach you grammar.
You can choose to to buy a course book to use during your lessons and for homework, or if you prefer to save the money we will lend you one (against a returnable deposit equal to the cost of the book). Your teacher may also give you photocopies of other resources to use during the lessons.
Our Italian language school in Bologna is well-equipped for language learning: each classroom has audio, DVD and video and other learning resources. There is also a multimedia classroom available for classes or individuals to use. Internet access and educational software is always available.
We have a DVD and video library of classic Italian films for you to borrow or watch in the school. There are also Italian books and magazines available.
Our teachers will give you feedback on your progress during the course, and at the end of the course you will receive a diploma certifying the number of hours you have studied with us and the level you have reached.
